Chelsea forward Raheem Sterling reportedly confronted masked intruders at his family home last Saturday evening around 6:30 PM, after his residence was targeted for the second time by burglars.

The Sun provided dramatic details, reporting that the English forward—acting to protect his family—seized a weapon and confronted the masked thieves in a tense standoff.

A source familiar with the situation stated, "He honestly felt he had no other option. He did what any father would do in that situation to protect his children. He was faced with multiple masked men, and he needed some form of self-defence to ensure his family's safety."

Sterling and his children were home at the time of the break-in, which occurred at his property located on Crown Estate land in Berkshire. Fortunately, they were all confirmed to be safe and unharmed following the incident.

Thames Valley Police have confirmed they are investigating the break-in. A police spokesperson stated: "Police are conducting a full investigation into this burglary and are appealing to anyone with information, or who saw suspicious persons in the area, to contact them immediately."

Chelsea is aware of the incident and is providing support to Sterling. The player, 30, lives at the property with his long-term partner Paige Milian and their children.
