According to The Athletic, U.S. President Donald Trump is expected to attend the 2026 FIFA World Cup Draw ceremony in Washington D.C., where he is anticipated to receive the newly established FIFA Peace Prize and deliver a speech.

The event, which will also be attended by Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo and Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney, will feature President Trump taking the spotlight. He is slated to have several minutes to speak, with FIFA reportedly not planning to impose any strict limitations on his remarks. The White House has so far declined to comment on whether the President will address the ceremony.

FIFA officially announced the creation of the "FIFA Peace Prize" on November 5th. This annual award is intended to recognize individuals for their efforts in promoting global unity and peaceful coexistence through non-violent means. While no official confirmation has been made, multiple anonymous FIFA sources suggest that President Trump is the expected recipient of the inaugural award.
