According to Foot Mercato chief reporter Santi Aouna, both Spanish giants Real Madrid and French champions Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly willing to meet the high salary demands of Bayern Munich center-back Dayot Upamecano.
The French international is seeking an annual salary of approximately €20 million, aiming to become one of the highest earners at his club, up from his current estimated €16 million. Additionally, Upamecano is demanding a substantial €20 million signing bonus, mirroring the reported €22 million bonus recently received by Bayern teammate Alphonso Davies upon his contract extension.
These significant financial stipulations are stalling contract renewal talks between Bayern and the player. While Upamecano has a major extension offer from Bayern, key details remain unresolved. Foot Mercato states that both PSG and Real Madrid are internally prepared to satisfy the player’s demands, including the signing fee and extra clauses.
Though Upamecano is open to staying at Bayern, his representatives currently see no need to rush further negotiations. This leaves Bayern with a critical choice: accept the player's steep financial terms, or risk seeing him leave the club at the end of the season.
