According to renowned football journalist Fabrizio Romano, Zinedine Zidane has no current plans to manage in the Premier League. Instead, the French icon has reportedly reached a verbal agreement with the French Football Federation (FFF) to take over as the head coach of the France national team.
Romano clarifies that despite persistent rumors linking him to major English clubs, Zidane has never been truly tempted by opportunities in the Premier League. His ultimate goal has always been to lead Les Bleus, a role he has been patiently waiting for since leaving Real Madrid in 2021.
While a "verbal agreement" is not legally binding and circumstances in football can change rapidly—especially with Real Madrid occasionally considering him for a third stint—all signs currently point toward Zidane fulfilling his dream of managing his country starting in July 2026.
