After controversy arose when Arsenal forward Gabriel Martinelli shoved Liverpool’s Conor Bradley to the ground late in the match, leaving him injured, Martinelli took to social media to say that he had already messaged Bradley to apologise.

Martinelli wrote on social media:

“I’ve messaged Conor (Bradley) and apologised to him. In the heat of the moment, I genuinely didn’t realise he was seriously injured.
