According to a report from Calciomercato, Roma are prepared to terminate the loan deal of Liverpool defender Kostas Tsimikas early and are considering Fiorentina’s Fortini as his replacement.
Roma have already strengthened their attacking options during the winter transfer window, signing Vázquez and Malen, and are now set to shift their focus to other positions.
The report states that Tsimikas is not part of head coach Gian Piero Gasperini’s plans for the second half of the season, and the Giallorossi are ready to send the Greek international back to Liverpool.
Fortini is Roma’s main target at left-back. Fiorentina have already rejected Roma’s initial €8 million offer, with their asking price believed to be around €15 million.
Fortini has also attracted interest from Juventus, and he appears unlikely to renew his contract with Fiorentina, with his current deal set to expire next summer.
