Bayer Leverkusen have officially announced that Nathan Tella has signed a contract extension until June 30, 2031.
Official statement from Bayer Leverkusen:
The club have agreed an early contract extension with Nathan Tella. The 26-year-old is capable of playing as a right winger, second striker, or left winger, and has now signed a deal running until June 30, 2031. Tella joined Leverkusen from Southampton FC in 2023, and his previous contract had been set to expire in the summer of 2028.
Sporting director Simon Rolfes said:
“We are very pleased to retain such a friendly and high-level professional for the long term. Nathan Tella is a key player on the pitch and an extremely important figure in the dressing room. His identification with the club is evident every day. From a sporting perspective, his pace and technical ability are standout qualities that bring real value to our team.”
Tella also commented:
“I see my long-term commitment to Leverkusen as a sign of a special relationship. I feel very comfortable here. The first few years have been full of incredible success, and it’s exciting to be part of a team with such potential. I’m confident that in the coming years, we will achieve our goals again.”
